Dreams Tulum is an all inclusive resort in Tulum Mexico, a town on the coast of the Yucatan peninsula.. a one and a half hour drive south of Cancun.The resort is on the beach and is styled in the old hacienda architecture which makes the experience all that more authentic (combined with the fact that you are far away from the very touristy Cancun area).The drive over is a straight shot down but speed limits must be observed as there are plenty of speed traps. The resort is an oasis in the wilderness…a quick look at the Google maps will reveal nothing north or south of the beach. We booked an ocean front room and were upgraded to “preferred” guests which gave us a few perks. For starters we were drivin to a special checkin area with no line and a special lounge with refreshments and snacks. The real benefits of preferred status are access to a nicer area of the beach and to the lounge where you can get “top-tier” alcohol any time.
