On my recent trip to Houston one of my favorite days was the visit to the zoo.

I have visited so many city zoos from San Diego to the Bronx Zoo. Houston’s was really fun as the habitats were all very close to one another and they obliviously love the animals in the care they take of the enclosures.

The animals themselves seemed happy and healthy.

We loved the young rhinoceros’ who were practicing battles. They were huge and in great shape.

The lions were lying on their rocks just looking at us with interest.

There was nice covered walkways that helped with the rain at the zoo. I have attached some pictures below. Great day at the zoo!
